PE enhancement
PE fun builds confidence

The grant for "PE Enhancement" at Kennedy Elementary was used to purchase equipment and train fourth grade teachers. These teachers, in turn, trained other teachers at Kennedy. The goal was to increase physical fitness throughout the school.

 About Us

Education is one of the most important tools we have in empowering our children to succeed. The Medford Schools Foundation (MSF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) community organization, was founded in 1995 to promote and help fund the best possible learning opportunities for all students in the Medford 549c School District. We believe that by helping to enrich the classroom and school experience, we can engage students to reach a higher level.

Importance of a Foundation
As an advocate for educational excellence, the MSF raises funds, gathers resources and acts as a catalyst to involve the community in public education. Donations made to the Medford Schools Foundation fund programs that go beyond what tax revenues can support. These funds help to continue and expand the traditions of excellence and innovation in the Medford School District serving over 12,000 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

With the present economic climate, dwindling state funds and our continuing drive for school reform, the needs of our schools are great and ongoing. The Foundation is a vital conduit for private donations that provide supplemental materials, enrichment activities and extra support for students to reach their potential.
